Neolamprologus caudopunctatus, or the Caudopunk to cichlid afficionatos, has a silvery-beige colored body accented by a golden yellow dorsal fin. The eyes are usually iridescent blue. They are small cichlids and do well in small tanks with few tankmates. Neolamprologus “red fin” does not actually have red fins, only golden yellow.

They are native to the Zambian coast. This species is egg laying and the parents will care for and protect the brood once the fry are hatched for several days. Feed them brine shrimp, cichlid flake, and pellet foods.
